Catwoman Bishoujo statue Kotobukiya

Kokobukiya is celebrating the 75th anniversary of DC Comics with the DC X Bishojo Collection, which combines DC superheroines and villains with traditional Japanese bishojo stylization. In March of 2011 Kotobukiya will release a figure of Selena Kyle/Catwoman (MSRP $59.99), who appears for the first time in the bishojo (pretty girl) style inspired by the 1990s character designs of Jim Lee and based on original character art by world famous illustrator Shunya Yamashita.

Catwoman is the second statue in the DX Bishojo Collection (Batgirl was the first, see “Kotobukiya’s Sexy Marvel & DC Statues”). Clad in her tight black leather bodysuit, Catwoman stands in a sexy pose, coyly raising one foot off the ground while playfully biting her signature whip while its tendrils trace art nouveau arcs that mirror her sexy curves. No detail, from the straps on her boots to the buckles on her neck to the goggles pushed up on her forehead, has been overlooked.

The Catwoman Bishoujo statue Kotobukiya, which is constructed of high quality PVC plastic, stands 9.1 inches tall atop a Batman-inspired gargoyle base complete with two miniature cats.
